We are seeking a Sr. Enterprise Architect to support FY25 Strategic Imperatives and PMO/Business driven projects as well as support the establishment of an Enterprise Architecture practice within ITS in accordance with the overall ITS Strategic Plan. The ideal consultant is a systems leader who thrives on optimizing technology ecosystems, solving complex challenges, driving digital innovation, managing integrations, crafting scalable solutions, and delivering actionable insights to empower teams to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Responsibilities:
- Participate in the process to evaluate, develop, implement the Enterprise Architecture governance framework.
- Advise the technology team on roadmaps, principles, standards, and best practices.
- Assist in the creation of an implementation plan for the enterprise architecture based on business requirements and IT strategies.
- Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of the architecture review board.
- Aggregate the current enterprise continuum of knowledge (applications, infrastructure, capabilities, people, and data,) and makes technology/process recommendations on how to manage it.
- Work with business relations, delivery team leads, and business leaders, when needed, to understand business requirements and help them understand how technology tradeoffs influence strategy and to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements.
Qualifications
- Required Experience (10+ years):
- Enterprise Architecture experience including architecture design and deployment, systems lifecycle management, Agile, and infrastructure planning and operations.
- Demonstrated experience in all layers of enterprise architecture – Business, Data, Application, Technology, Security - to implement various information strategy components.
- Experience with and knowledge of network architecture, data flows, security needs, and data and application integration.
- Experience with cloud technologies.
- Experience and knowledge of multiple EA frameworks and standards, such as, FEA Framework (federal enterprise architecture), TOGAF, Zachman, NIST EA Model, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders to assist with the establishment of an Enterprise Architecture governance framework to ensure consistency, scalability, and adherence to organizational objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to assist with the development and implementation of standards for EA documentation.
- Demonstrated ability to consult on the design and architecture of new technology projects, documenting solutions and providing expert guidance to ensure alignment with the overall enterprise architecture vision.
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions that align with business objectives and technical strategy.
- Experience with business intelligence is a plus.
- Required Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science or engineering, or a related field
- Airport Special Requirements:
- Must obtain a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) Airport Identification/Access Badge (badge) in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requirements in Chapter 49 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 1500 et al., and DFW Airport’s Airport Security Program within thirty (30) days from date of employment and maintain qualification for a SIDA badge upon each badge renewal.
